About Knots and Crochet

After years of living with a long-term illness, I (Sarah) found solace, purpose, and healing through crochet and sewing. What began as a way to stay busy during tough times has grown into Knots and Crochet, a heartfelt business producing handmade crochet gifts for those who appreciate something special. As a completely self-taught maker, every stitch and design is an outcome of my own imagination and commitment, no shortcuts, and absolutely no reliance on computer-generated patterns.

Crafting allows me to focus on something positive and offer others a unique, hand made connection to the Highlands. I pour love, care, and quality into each piece, and each order supports not only my journey but also local suppliers and producers. Thanks to support from the Highland Council's Launch Pad programme and the Scottish Government's Independent Living Fund, I've had the chance to dedicate time and resources to expanding my skills and sharing them with you.

I also manage severe social anxiety and chronic fatigue, so the rhythm of creating is central to my daily life. My hope is that by sharing these pieces: hats, bandannas, accessories, wall hangings, plushies, and more, you get to experience a slice of independence and authenticity, right from the Highlands to your door. With every order, I aim to share a little piece of my story, creating something truly thoughtful for you or your loved ones.
